FAQ
What is a crypto wallet?
A crypto wallet is a piece of software that acts as a secure digital wallet where you can store, send, and receive digital currencies.
How does a crypto wallet work?
Each wallet is a bit different but generally, any wallet will work with one or more types of cryptocurrency and can store one or more cryptocurrencies on a βpublic address.β
Public addresses are cryptocurrency account numbers used to receive a specific kind of cryptocurrency and can be shared publicly. Each address relates back to all transactions associated with that address on a coinβs blockchain.
Proving you own an address is done with a private key, a code associated with a public address in non-custodial wallets. **Your Private key should never be shared with anyone!
A wallet is like an online bank platform, an address is like an account number, and the blockchain is like a bankβs ledger.
